Our Teams

SBC is comprised of boys teams from 4th to 8th grade boys and girls teams from 5th to 8th grade. There are 17 teams total with two to three teams per grade. Typically, teams are comprised of 9 players.

For the 5th grade team, a select number of players will be selected for an all-star team. The All-Star Team are a combination of the RED, WHITE, and/or BLACK teams within each grade. All-Star teams participate in select tournaments during the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons in San Diego and Orange County.

For the  6th,7th and 8th grade teams, an Elite “A” and Advanced “B”  and Intermediate “C” teams will be selected for the the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. In addition, the “A Teams” will participate in select tournaments during the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons in San Diego, Orange County, Santa Barbara County and Maui, Hawaii.

Commitment and Loyalty

We ask our players to commit to play all 3 seasons (Fall, Winter, and Spring). We will work around other sports; however, we need to have to a commitment that SBC will be as or more important than the other sport(s). No player is allowed to play for another club basketball program unless that club team is a school team. We will ask that if a player plays for a school team that SBC is always the priority and that the player request approval from SBC before they start playing with the “school club team.”

Club Fees and Dues

Our fees are $445 per season. The SBC fee covers gymnasium rental, coaches fee, league fees, and operational costs. Uniform and liability insurance for NEW CATS is $200.

All players will need to bring your payment to the first practice or you can mail your check to the club (see Contact). You can  also pay by credit card, just click the  red “make a payment” button and follow the instructions. Please do not forget your check on the first practice as we cannot get started with your child until proper payment is made.
